Children

1.“Cartoons and moral judgement of the child“
This project, based on idea of Jagoda Savić, was dedicated to bussy parents, who have no time for their children. A crucial target was to verify can children by themselves, without guidelines of their parents, develop some moral notions.
A project used 39 selected cartoons of Walt Disney, such as „Pinocchio“, „Snow White and Seven Dwerfs“ „The Jungle Book“, „Hercules“, „Alladin“ etc., that presented situations with moral content of verbal  moral  messages. The ethical focus has been put on the connection between the cause and the consequence. A child, who is watching a cartoon, should recognize the Evil and and the Good in each selected part that appear in various ways, such as in  moral values, moral identity,  moral motive, moral action, moral target, moral rules, moral judement, moral duty,  moral punishment, moral decision,  and in some more complex moral notions such as premeditation,  temptation,  remorse and  shame . A project used more than 550 selected parts of Disney Classics to distinguish the Evil and the Good.
For example, the Evil in premeditation is presented as thinking about the Evil in advance, in order to hurt another person. In morally bad intention it is presented as deciding about the evil in advance in order to realize a chosen aim, being at the same time aware about serious consequence that intended action will provoke suffering to someone. As a „moral“ target it is presented as thinking about personal benefit, including the aims to achieve it, without thinking about well. Being of other persons. A moral choice is presented as sacrifying yourself in order to provide well- being for other persons. A moral act is presented as  an heroic example of helping to other persons, while risking personal safety.  A whole project , not translated in English language,  is presented within web link „Ethics“ . This project was broadcasted  on NRTV“Studio 99“ in 1999. It can be found in link “Ethics“ ,

2. “School  for children journalists“
This project, based on idea of Jagoda Savić, was focused on the protection of Ego of children who participate childrens' TV transmissions as hosts of show. A project was realized with a group of children in workshop. A crucial achievement of the project was to try to eliminate negative feed back of their TV appearance. It means to take their self- awareness under careful care and correct it when necessary because of permanent danger to be transformed in increasing narcism. The first step of the project for a child was to define a small puzzle composing parts of it's own identity , in which way a child see himself in his family, in professional functioning, in social relations, in economic functioning, in sexual behaviour, in health sector etc.
A second step of project was a connection between a child and society. It's TV role is a source of attribution of certain social importance, comparing such a child with it's peers. A child, a host of show, should ammortize the influence of new created immage of it's social importance upon it's feeling of  self- esteem, in order to reject any exaggeration neither  in his self- perception nor in it's self- evaluation . With this project  child host of show learns to recognize his own mecchanism of confrontation and manage new arrival TV content  in it's mind  with two mental processes: with  inserting it in  it's existing  immage and with  exposing it to permanent checking.
This project was organized on TV „OBN“ in 1999

3.“Children and society“
This research was made in ored to verify so called Social Self of Bosnian children in post-war period. In was intentioned as early warning for childrens' mental health problem in Community.
The crucial findings of this research were:
Children don't see Bosnian society as a source of protection and safety.Beside that, Bosnian children have no perception of Bosnian society as of whole system, but as of producer of confusion in everyday life. Bosnian children are aware of the existence of various  social strata and understand that they have different life opportunities. So, it can be said that Bosnian children have realistic perception of their society.
But, childrens' self- perception is splitted and deformed. It is composed of two parts with opposit content that exist at the same time in childrens' mind. The best illustration of their Self is a part „I socialize“ and „I don't socialize“ in childrens' contacts with other children of other ethnical belonging. Such so called double bind self perception can be significant source of psychological disbalance because a Social Self  is an integral part of their identity.

4. “Domestic violence increasing awareness“
Jagoda Savić, writing about domestic  violence, provoked drastic change of perceprtion of problem of violence among citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Before the appearance of her articles, the maiority of people in our country didn't believe that domestic violence exists as a problem and  changed their opinion after being informed about various cases.
Beside that, with the time passing together with the new informations about the violence registered,  citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina became more aware how this problem is serious and spread all over a territory of our country. At the end, the informations that presented concrete cases of physical, sexual and emotional abuse helped to citizens to learn how  to recognize them. This process lasted for three years and increased the awareness of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina about domestic violence.  Beside that, these published also contributed to significant increase of a motivation among women in BiH to denounce a  perpetrator.
