Jagoda is engaged in the human rights work, mainly to do with the rights of children. She is also involved in defending publicly joint interests, moral values, and calls for legal action. She started several media projects on child protection in the post-war period helping children with setting their life goals and directions to follow as a guide. The main focus of the projects was on developing cognitive concepts with children. Some of her past jobs were related to the issues of mental health, psychotherapy and, particularly to the development of coping skills, and coping strategies. One of her past jobs was related to the issues of domestic violence. She also took part in a number of different trainings on developing communication skills. Jagoda dared challenge some authorities in the country such as the State President (1998). She also probed some taboo issues like domestic violence (2000), pharmacological lobby (2002), and child trafficking (2004). As a result she was subjected to various pressures by both certain groups and individuals in the Bosnian society. Jagoda Savic is not a member of any political party in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is committed to the idea of peaceful cohabitation of all ethnic groups, and supportive of the ideas of religious tolerance, moderate political orientation, and European integrations. Jagoda is a single mother with a son who is over 18 years of age. She is an Orthodox Christian. Her private life is carefully protected. |
This project, based on idea of Jagoda Savić, was dedicated to bussy parents, who have no time for their children. A crucial target was to verify can children by themselves, without guidelines of their parents, develop some moral notions.
